About GECC
A Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program for Our Community
The Gateway EITC Community Coalition (GECC) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit providing FREE federal and state tax preparation services to those who need it most. We serve low-to-moderate income families and individuals, seniors, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers throughout the St. Louis region.
All tax preparation is performed by IRS-certified volunteers who receive comprehensive training before assisting any taxpayers. Our services are always completely free — no hidden fees, no costs of any kind.
Who We Serve
Free Tax Services for Every Taxpayer
Our VITA-certified volunteers are trained to assist a wide range of taxpayers with accuracy and care.
Low to Moderate Income Families
Households earning under $69,000 are eligible for free federal and state tax preparation. We handle W-2s, 1099s, and all standard income situations.
Seniors & Persons with Disabilities
We provide patient, thorough assistance for seniors and those with disabilities, helping them claim every credit and deduction they are entitled to.
Limited English-Speaking Taxpayers
Language should never be a barrier to receiving the tax credits and refunds you deserve. Our volunteers are trained to assist non-English speakers.
